* Physical demonstration by applicant of the ability to safely load and unload a revolver or a semi-automatic pistol

-
Laws relating to justifiable use of force in RSMO 563
-
Live fire practice exercise - minimum of 20 rounds
- Live fire exam - minimum of 15 out of 20 hits to qualify
* Our classes exceed this requirement (RSMO 571.111.2.2 and RMSO 571.111.2.9) by requiring applicants to fire both a revolver and a semi-automatic during the live fire practice sessions.

Class requirements:
- An applicant that meets the requirements to get a permit (see below)
- Eye and ear protection is required on the range. We have some spare sets of safety glasses and always carry spare ear plugs, but bring your own if you have them.
- Handgun(s) that you wish to fire during the live fire ranges sections. Each applicant will shoot both a revolver and a semi-auto pistol. If you don't have both - or haven't purchased a firearm yet, that's okay. We will have several available at the range in different sizes, weights, styles, and calibers. For first-time or new firearms owners, it is better to come to the class first, so that you can make a better, more informed decision on your firearm purchase.
- Ammunition for your personal firearm(s).
- Pen or pencil and paper for any notes that you want to take.
- Water and coffee are available at the classroom site and iced tea will be provided during lunch. If you want something else, you are welcome to bring whatever non-alcoholic beverages you wish.
